Samuthirakani, an Indian film actor and director, was born on April 26, 1973, and works primarily in the Tamil film industry, though he has also appeared in Malayalam and Telugu films. He worked as a director's assistant, K Balachander. Naadodigal, his directorial debut, was a smashing blockbuster in 2009. He has also appeared in various films, including M Sasikumar's Subramaniapuram (2009) and Easan (2010), as well as Saattai (2012), Velaiyilla Pattathari (2014), Oppam (2016), and Krack (2021). For Visaranai, he won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2016.
